How we write

Last updated October 2026

Health information is only useful if you can trust where it came from. This page explains, in plain terms, how articles on StressSkin are made.

Our sources

Every health claim should trace back to a source listed at the end of the article. We prefer peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, and guidance from professional and public health bodies. We avoid using brand marketing pages or social media posts as evidence. When evidence is limited, mixed or only from small studies, we say so rather than smoothing it over.

Careful language

We use wording such as “is associated with” or “some studies suggest” where that is what the research supports. We do not say that anything cures, treats or reverses a condition.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help research topics, organize sources and draft text. The editor is responsible for what is published on this site. AI-assisted drafting does not change our standards: claims need sources, and anything we cannot support is cut or softened.

Not medical review

Articles are not written or reviewed by a physician unless a page says so explicitly. The editor is not a clinician. Nothing on this site is a diagnosis or treatment recommendation. If you are worried about your skin or health, please see a qualified healthcare professional.

Affiliate links and independence

Some pages may contain affiliate links, which can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Any such page carries a clear notice at the top, and our full statement is on the affiliate disclosure page. Commissions never decide what we conclude or which sources we cite.

Corrections

If you find an error or an outdated claim, please tell us at hello@stressskin.com. We check reports, correct confirmed mistakes promptly, and update the article. Articles show their publication date so you can judge how current they are.

Quiz and tools

Our Stress-Skin Profile Quiz is an educational tool inspired by general stress-perception research. It is not a validated clinical instrument and does not diagnose anything.
